We strive to be one of the best places to work in Chico!  It is our goal to pay more than minimum wage for our entry level wage, making the Co-op a financially attractive place to work. Our entry level positions will start at a minimum of $12.60 per hour (Chico's Living Wage based on FT status) after successful completion of our 3-month introductory period.


Produce Clerk

Summary of Responsibilities: Assists with the daily tasks in the Produce Department including: prepping produce, stocking and receiving orders, culling produce to maintain quality, ensuring accurate signage, creating displays and following produce handling guidelines.  In addition, this position answers customer questions and helps customers in their selection or ordering of produce. Must be able to lift up to 50 – 60 lbs.

This is a part-time hourly position, approximately 12-26 hours per week with the ability to be somewhat flexible. General availability includes:  early morning and/or mid-day shifts throughout the week and on weekends. Floor Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities: This position ensures the highest level of service possible to Chico Natural Foods Cooperative’s customers.  Working under the direction of the Floor Manager, a Floor Supervisor’s main responsibility is to oversee the daily operations of the store and monitor the flow between departments.  This position provides on-floor leadership to staff, as well as handles emergencies as they arise.  The Floor Supervisor works to ensure store operations drive an optimum customer service experience. The Floor Supervisor works to ensure that each customer feels welcome, their needs are well attended to, and their service expectations are exceeded.

Minimum Experience:  Leadership or team experience 1 – 3 years; Retail or Cashier experience 1 – 3 years. Download job description here.

This is a full-time position, approximately 32 – 38 hours per week. Shifts generally evenings and weekends but may be flexible. Wage starts at $15.25 DOE. Please submit a completed CNFC Application to be considered.
