Last February over 30 local farmers attended the Chico Natural Foods Cooperative’s first annual Farmer Meeting.  Farmer meetings are used by cooperative grocers throughout the United States to coordinate local producers with the needs of local consumers. This was the first meeting of its kind in our area and marks the beginning of a new era in the local, organic, and sustainably grown produce market. 

Our second annual meeting will be held Wednesday, December 16th from 6:30-8pm at the 1078 Gallery in Downtown Chico. If you currently sell produce to the Co-op or if you are interested in becoming a vendor you should attend this meeting. We will discuss our growing standards, buying guidelines, merchandising, and 2016 pre-planning.
